“Steps to Happiness”

At first glance, the poster is bright, colorful and looks like a boatload of fun. There are nine steps to follow, like: “Dance,” “Laugh Out Loud,” and “Listen to Music” and more. All of the prompts are positive but they serve a much larger purpose. The steps are intended to give kids a visual they can use so they automatically know the steps they can take to feel better when they are down. By seeing the steps on the poster on a daily basis, the steps will become a habit they remember when bad situations arise. This is a positive habit they can carry into adulthood.
